LANDSCAPE PLAN
After a detailed site analysis, our Landscape Design Team will provide a Landscape Plan for your project with plant selections as well as placements for planting areas, lighting, patios, walkways, pergolas, firepits, fountains, pools, spas, and any other feature you may wish to include in your outdoor living space in the future. This comprehensive design may be implemented in phases over time to achieve your dream landscape at a pace that remains within your budget.

"So over the years, I had visions of what I wanted to eventually have a backyard look like. With the help of Brownswood, it really all came together, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. You know, Brownswood nailed it." - Johns Island Homeowner |
Without a Landscape Plan, it is easy for homeowners to become overwhelmed and frustrated when parts of what they start planting or building don't flow seamlessly together. With a Landscape Plan, there is a clear path for achieving a cohesive overall design that is thoughtful and creative, taking into account current and future needs and wants as well as complementing the home with a functional, extended living space.
On average, a Landscape Plan for a .25 acre lot costs approximately $3K - $6K. (Our design fee starts at $3K.)

OUR LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROCESS
Design Consultation
Site Visit
Site Visit:
Our design team will visit your home to capture lifestyle and site details necessary to create a landscape you'll love. We will take an inventory of the site's existing plants, sun/shade patterns, wildlife, soil conditions, and architectural structures. An up-to-date survey is required to fully understand your property lines, setbacks and easement locations, tree outline and existing structures such as your house and existing hardscapes. |
Design Presentation
Design Presentation:
We invite you to the nursery where we present you with the plant selection and layout of your landscape design. We will also walk you through our Garden Center to show you the plants (and size options) in person to ensure that you love every plant that was selected for your home. You will receive:

Revision Meeting
Revision Meeting:
We want you to love your design. During this meeting, your designer will answer questions and note desired changes. One revision meeting is included in your design fee. While most people do not require additional edits after this meeting, additional design time is offered at an hourly rate. |
Final Design Meeting
Final Design Meeting:
You will receive your Landscape Plan and an itemized quote (with phasing options based on your priorities) during this meeting. If your plan needs to be approved through your HOA/ARC/ARB, we will also walk you through the approval process. Schedule for Installation: Once we receive your deposit, signed contract, and HOA/ARC/ARB approval (if needed), you will then be placed on our installation schedule. |

"Originally, we did the landscaping ourselves, and it just didn't ultimately have the effect that we were looking for. So we called Brownswood to come out ... and help create a design that we liked. ... We loved working with the people at Brownswood. They were extremely professional, they were on time, they were considerate of our space, they always cleaned up behind themselves. Top-notch professionals." - West Ashley Homeowner
